MICROplásticos is a family-owned business established in 1987 and dedicated to the production of high-precision and dimensionally rigorous plastic components, according to the requirements of customers from different industries.
Microplásticos is a leading manufacturer of plastic components operating in Portugal, asserting itself as a reference player in this market segment. The company is internationally known among Tier 1 and OEM´s, mainly due to the degree of specialization and the level of complexity offered.
One of the current main challenges of the company is its internationalization strategy, with the objective to increase its volume of business inside targeted markets, and to foster partnerships with current clients.
In order to be closer to its customers‘ activity centers, to be able to respond more effectively and competitively, and to consolidate the position in markets considered with potential to growth, the process to select the localization of the production center, followed a rigorous analysis of the upcoming pillars towards the final decision:
1.Distance from the decision-making centers and production
2.Recognition by our clients of the host country as adjusted for the investment
3.Logistic costs and capacity to supply regions in a perimeter of at least 800kms
4.Availability of local technical support to ensure normal activity development
5.Level of human resources qualification and price of labour
6.Cost of general infrastructures
After internal analysis and reflection, and to be aligned with customers challenges, the company management decided to select the southern region of Poland as the most suitable region to start the internationalization of Microplásticos.
Thereby, Microplásticos will put all the efforts to comply with the following plan and be successful in this strategic project
