AES has a very experienced team in plastic design engineering and 3D modeling that can support your design team with product design development.

At a different level, we can also perform part design analysis and provide your team with valuable feedback on the part’s manufacturability, risks and opportunities.

When our customers include us in the part design stage there are major improvements in part manufacturing reliability, part quality and faster development timelines.

 

Mold Engineering:

AES considers the Mold Engineering process to be the HEART of a successful mold and therefore the keystone to a successful part production life.

We combine our experience with state of the art technology for Mold Design Engineering. Each member of our engineering team has an average of 20 years of tooling experience and 80% of our team has higher education. We perform comprehensive engineering studies and simulations with every mold using state of the art technology.  This includes: injection simulations, cooling simulations, Warpage simulations, pressures simulations, Part Dimensional Strategies, steel load simulations (when applicable), among all the other verification tools and process that we use internally.

 

Mold Manufacturing:

Our capabilities include CEA Analysis software’s, 3D CAD/CAM, 3/4/5 axis CNC milling, Precision EDM, Precision Wire, CMM / 3D scanner and others.

Our internal Mold Manufacturing capabilities along with our network of selected global partners, allows AES to meet not only our customers quality needs but also timeline and budgetary tooling needs. Our experience also extends to the design and manufacturing of Production Control Gages, Measuring Fixtures, End and Arm Tooling and any other component you may require. Mold Validation:

Each mold is fully tested before being shipped out to our customers. We  develop and share a suggested production process where the best quality part is obtained. Our engineers have a great deal of injection process expertise that,  combined  with your processing team, enables the molds to achieve the most optimum injection process parameters. This in turn assures that you achieve your production goals reliably and within your budget.

Our mold sampling process capabilities are based on Scientific Molding processes that use Pressure Sensors Technology from Kistler and from RGJ.

The Mold and Part validation are achieved by using our internal rigorous dimensional control using our Zeiss CMM machine and our GOM 3D scanner machine and statistical studies such as CpK and Gage R&R studies.
