Granitos Pimentel & Tavares was incorporated in 1999.12.06, aiming to continue the transformation of marble and granite, begun in 1991 in the individual name of one of the partners.

In the evolution of the activity we highlight the following years:

1991 - Start of activity
1995 - Acquisition of existing facilities
1999 - Incorporation of the company
2000 -Contracting a superior technical chart for the Production Directorate and beginning of the automation of productive operations
2001 - Automation of some productive finishing operations
The activity has been growing in a sustained way until the constitution of the company and the automation of productive operations through modern equipment for the transformation of all kinds of ornamental rocks, which has allowed important gains in productivity and quality and the rapid growth of the volume of Business.

In view of the rapidly growing volume of activity, the current manufacturing facilities have become insufficient for the needs and new facilities are under construction.

2004 - Purchase of CNC that allows the elaboration of works perfectly impossible to carry out manually or with traditional cutting machine, remaining in the market as the avant-garde company of the branch.
2006 - Acquisition of a multi-wire cutting machine that allows a high increase in the production of sawed sheet.
2007 - Purchase of automated polishing machine for the polishing of produced sawn plates.
Currently the company has eleven cutting machines, three polishing machines, two numerical control machines allowing the execution of any computerized design, ensuring an immediate production of the most diverse orders.

Throughout the years we have been preparing to better respond to the current demands by acquiring the equipment and means to make a difference, always seeking to meet the customer's needs.

For this we acquired a machine to make laser engraving in 2013, and another CNC machine already this year with the most advanced programs in the market to satisfy any request, both in funerary art as in articles of decoration, construction, garden, as Was the case of our most recent work, the frog's mouth made in full scale granite in Black Zimbabwe.
