HBM FiberSensing concentrates all optical business of the HBM Test and Measurement Group providing advanced monitoring systems based on optical Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) technology.
The company provides Sensors, Interrogators, Software and Complete Solutions, primarily on an OEM basis. It is certified in accordance with ISO 9001:2008 standards.

The company manufactures optical sensors based on the FBG technology to measure strain, temperature, acceleration, tilt and displacement, in different types of packaging, to be applied in laboratories, concrete, outdoor, ... .
Easy-to-install and safe to operate in hazardous environments, these sensors are particularly suitable for structural health monitoring and high strain applications.
To measure the values generated by the sensors, the company has available interrogators, which provide precise and high resolution static and dynamic measurements 24/7 through reliable software interfaces.
Particularly suitable for large scale sensing networks, HBM FiberSensing interrogators are designed and produced in industrial, rack-mountable and portable formats to interrogate FBG based sensors in industrial environments or on field.
Software used to control the interrogators and support data management is also developed by HBM FiberSensing.
Easy-to-use software interfaces (BraggMONITOR DI, BraggMONITOR SI, etc.) are available to be installed on the control PC or to run on the portable interrogator. These applications allow direct data acquisition and archiving, optical spectrum visualization and definition of measurement configuration.
Compatibility with catman® software from HBM enables hybrid optical/electric sensing to be easily managed.
