Cool Gray Lda was founded in 1999 as an industrial company of the footwear sector, in one of the most important European clusters: the São João da Madeira area in Portugal.
Throughout time Cool Gray Lda acquired a deep understanding, not only of manufacturing, but also of product development, procurement, marketing and international commercial activities, always with a special focus in quality leather comfort shoes.
In 2018, for the fourth time in its history, Cool Gray was awarded the Small/Medium Enterprise Leader prize, a government award given to solid and consistently performing companies.
In June 2018 Cool Gray requested a SMETA audit, performed by SGS, an external and independent entity. That audit analysed Cool Gray’s labour standards, health and safety policies, management systems, subcontracting and homeworking procedures and a environmental assessment.
At the same time the company began an ISO 9001 certification process, that will be completed until the end of the first quarter of 2019.
