The project started when André Manz bought an abandoned vineyard to make wine for himself and found 200 vines of this ancient portuguese grape, abandoned by the portuguese producers for having low yealds.
André said "I don't want to make a lot of wine, what I want is good wine!" and so the project of rescueing this grape variety from extinction began.
From 200 vines we clonned and now we have 4,5 Ha planted, making 6.000 bottles every vintage of what is still "THE ONLY WINE IN THE WORLD" made with certified vines of JAMPAL:

The brilliant acidity that all the wine critics praised, gave origin to name of the wine. André named this wine "DONA FÁTIMA" as an homage to his mother in law!
While the portuguese winemakers were making dark coloured, fullbodied and sweeter Rose, we decided to get the best that our sea fossil, limestone and clay soil has to offer, as well as the proximity to the ocean.
We present with Manz Rose a wine that is manually harvested, transported and never pressed. We pick the Castelão grapes when they still have a natural acidity and fresh red berry aromas, to make a wine that is a Provence Style but with Portuguese DNA rose wine.
Fresh, crisp, medium body and a great finish with no bitterness, is what we present in a beatyfull bottle that appeals to all consumers.
A wine that makes the expression "Rosé all day!" very true and pleasent.

Made according to the owner's personal taste, Pomar do Espírito Santo is a Red Blend of Portuguese traditional grapes Touriga Nacional, Castelão and Aragonês (same as Tinta Roriz or Tempranillo).
A partial stage in French and American oak barrels, give this wine more complexity while keeping the grape as the true hero of this wine.
A superb aroma where you can feel fruit and oak, with a juicy and lingering taste given by the great level of acidity that makes this wine a perfect pairing for all tomato based food or matured cheeses.
The best thing about this wine is that you can drink it as soon as released (usually 2 years after vintage) or you can just let it age in your own cellar.

Platónico or Platonic comes from the ideia of making the perfect wine. The perfect wine is an utopia, a dream, something platonic and unatchievable, because it allways depends on the personal taste of who's drinking it.
Realising that, we set out to make not the perfect wine, but the most consensual wine possible. Something you could serve at a big event, with a lot of different tastes/preferences/palates and still, the wine would please everyone.
A Red Blend of Touriga Nacional, Aragonês, Castelão and Syrah, with 30% stage in french and american oak barrels just to give it a hiont of oak and some more tannins, but overall it's a wine that pleases the advanced consumer as well as remaining aproachable to the begginer.
Roger Voss (Wine Enthusiast) recognized it as Best Buy- Editor's Choice, MudusVini 2018 awarded it with a Gold Medal, the newspaper "THE GUARDIAN" revied it as a Best Buy in the UK under 10£

The Douro Valley is the world's oldest DOC region and ones of the most perfect places on earth to grow vineyards and make premium wines.
The natural conditions there provide a grape that is so unique that, in our Manz Douro we decided to showcase just that: the Douro GRAPE, the Terroir.
We decided to go against the common ideia that a good wine needs to stage in oak barrels, and remind the consumer that wine is firstly made out of fruit/grape!
This is a Premium Wine made with an UnOaked concept, where we focused in the vineyard, the harvesting, manual selection of grapes, to make sure that we could present something pure and still ticking all the boxes that a great wine should tick.
