A Taste of Quinta do Cume
Located in the historic village of Provesende, in the heart of the Douro Valley, Quinta do Cume is a family estate dedicated to crafting wines that reflect the freshness and elegance of a new Douro.
Our white vineyards grow on steep schist slopes at high altitude, where cooler conditions allow the grapes to ripen slowly, preserving natural acidity, freshness, and aromatic precision.
Our red wines come from carefully selected vineyard parcels located at lower elevations, where warmer conditions allow for fuller ripening and greater concentration. Many of our reds are traditionally foot-trodden in granite lagares, a method that allows gentle extraction and produces wines with depth, structure, and elegant tannins.
Certified in Integrated Production, we follow responsible viticultural practices that respect biodiversity and the balance of the land.
From careful manual harvesting to gentle vinification – including the use of peristaltic pumps and parcel-by-parcel vinification – every step is guided by a philosophy of minimal intervention and deep respect for the fruit.
The result is a collection of wines that express not only the character of our terroir, but also the people and the time behind each bottle.
