Mondegão olive oil is inserted in the Dão region and is bordered to the north by the river Mondego, hence the designation of Mondegão.
This region is characterized by a rugged topography. Mondego River is the fifth largest Portuguese river and the one who runs it course entirely in Portugal. Rises in Serra da Estrela, delimiting the northern border of Nelas and has its mouth in the Atlantic Ocean.
Mondegão olive oil is highly prized for possessing a natural texture, a rare and complex aromas.

Senhora do Viso was the first trademark of Mathias in the markets.
Nelas? population was very devoted to Senhora do Viso, known as the protector of soldiers who fought in the Ultramar War. This soldiers took a lot of olive oil for medicinal use and consumption, so it gave birth to the brand Senhora do Viso.
Fruity olive oil, with some notes of spicy and bitter, ideal for some lighter fare.

Tamega river is an international river, which rises in the Sierra de San Mamede, province of Ourense (Galicia, Spain) and flows into the Douro river.
