Moderaprova Sociedade Agricola lda it´s a family project located in Quinta Picouto de Cima, Guimarães, Portugal, a region celebrated for its world-renowned and unique Vinho Verde, was acquired in 1997 by Albertino Rodrigues Ferreira. The first phase of his project was to invest in the process of reconstruction and preparation of the land to plan and clear the vineyards, which was quite a challenge, given the sinuous nature of the terrain and its often difficult access. After the planting of new vines and the first harvest came in, Quinta Picouto de Cima red and rosé wines were born. In 2012, renovation began to transform the red variety vineyards into white Vinho Verde, in addition to new plantations being laid down, which increased the productive area of ??the vineyard. 2014 saw the production of the first grapes that would go into Quinta Picouto de Cima - Selected Harvest, a wine that has been winning awards at both national and international competitions since its launch. The estate also produces the Arinto and Loureiro varieties – wines that will appeal to all good tastes!
