FGV Design de Mobiliário, Lda owns the PORVENTURA brand, of contemporary furniture design and production. This brand was created in 2017 with a focus on exports and was presented internationally at LONDON DESIGN FAIR, in September of that year.
Porventura is a brand that integrates national and global design and has since reinvented traditional furniture lines. With an unusual touch, present in his entire collection, he challenges the routine actions of people, in the acts of sleeping, sitting, eating or working.
Through the use of classic elements - starting with natural wood, including fabrics, cork, metal and others, taking care of ergonomics, Porventura balances unexpected concepts, creating pieces that harmoniously integrate with contemporary experiences.
In PORVENTURA there is a deep sense of internal collaboration; everything you find in the catalog is the result of partnerships between our award-winning designers and the talent, skill and knowledge of experienced artisans.
PORVENTURA produces in a semi-industrial way, using natural wood and its derivatives, with special care in the choice of raw materials and finishes, in an ecological way, without the use of toxic or incriminating substances, such as formaldehyde. Product surfaces are processed without solvents, using aqueous varnish or beeswax. This practice results in pieces with unique durability.
Each product is the result of an experimental approach, a detailed search for materials, techniques and production processes. The importance of innovating through the design and materials used, the utility and functionality of the products for the purposes in view is a permanent concern, in order to guarantee its holders, quality, durability and aesthetic pleasure in the products they purchase.
